Visiting an elevator consultancy office: what to bring to settle your plan in one meeting

A home elevator is used for decades and is tied to the structure and interior of the house. A phone call gets you a quick indicative price, but sitting down with an engineer and the drawings helps you understand the options, compare them and avoid reworking the shaft later.

1. Why meet an engineer in person

  • Review the drawings with an engineer to fix the shaft position, cabin size, pit depth and top-floor height from the start.
  • Compare the Japanese-configuration joint-venture option with a fully imported elevator, based on your family's needs and budget.
  • Choose cabin, landing door, ceiling and floor designs from the design library to match your interior.
  • Get clear answers on warranty, maintenance, inspection and installation time before you decide.

2. The two ASAHI offices

  • Vinhomes Ocean Park office: Pho Bien 19-24, Vinhomes Ocean Park 3, Nghia Tru, Hung Yen.
  • Vinhomes Global Gate office: Thoi Dai 1-02, Vinhomes Global Gate, Co Loa, Hanoi.

Please call the hotline 0988 621 262 before visiting so the engineer for your area is there and has the right documents ready. Maps and directions are on the Contact page.

3. What to bring

  • Drawings: floor plans and sections (files or photos). If you have none yet, photos of the planned elevator position and the staircase are very helpful.
  • Measurements: clear internal shaft size if already built, number of floors, floor-to-floor heights and the top-floor height.
  • Status of the house: in design, under structural construction or finished; when you need the elevator.
  • Users: how many people live in the house, whether there are elderly people, wheelchair users or frequent loads to carry.
  • Interior style: interior photos or material samples so the cabin and landing doors match.

4. How the consultation works

  1. The engineer listens to your needs and reviews the drawings and site photos.
  2. They propose a suitable elevator line, cabin size, pit and overhead requirements. You can read pit and overhead and choosing capacity and cabin size beforehand.
  3. You pre-select cabin, landing door and finish designs.
  4. A site survey to measure the shaft is booked, free of charge in Hung Yen and Hanoi.
  5. After the survey, ASAHI sends an itemised quote and technical drawings for you to review before signing.

5. Questions to ask an elevator supplier

  • Which brands supply the traction machine, controller and power-failure rescue device?
  • How long is the warranty, the free maintenance period, and what does maintenance cost afterwards?
  • How long do production and installation take once the shaft is ready?
  • Who handles the inspection before the elevator goes into use? See home elevator inspection.
  • Are spare parts available in Vietnam, and is the technical team close to your site?

With ASAHI: 24-month warranty, 12 months of free maintenance and installation within 30 – 45 days once the shaft meets requirements. Details are set out in each project's contract.
