Installing a home elevator in Vinhomes Ocean Park: a checklist for townhouses and villas

Townhouses, shophouses and villas in Vinhomes Ocean Park usually have 3–5 floors and a narrow frontage. A home elevator makes getting around easier for the whole family, especially older members. Below is the checklist ASAHI has drawn from lifts installed in Vinhomes Ocean Park and Vinhomes Global Gate.
1. Fix your needs and number of floors
- Which floors the lift stops at (basement, ground floor, living floors, rooftop).
- How many people use it at once, and whether anyone uses a wheelchair or carries bulky items.
- The expected long-term use, so you can choose a suitable model.
2. Choose the shaft position
The shaft position affects both function and noise. Place it near the stairs, avoid the head of a bed, and consider where the landing doors open into living space. See also structure of a townhouse with an elevator and how to choose load and cabin size.
3. Shell stage or finished house
- House at shell stage or not yet built: this is the best time. Fix the shaft, pit and overhead dimensions from the drawings so the structure does not need to be altered. See pit and overhead of a home elevator.
- House already lived in: you can choose an aluminium-frame, screw-drive or no-counterweight lift to fit the space available. See installing a lift in a renovated house.
4. Talk to the township management board
Before construction, owners should ask the township management board about construction rules, working hours, the route for moving equipment and construction registration. Rules can change over time and between zones, so ask directly for the latest information. The lift company needs this information to plan transport and installation.
5. From survey to handover
- On-site survey and shaft measurement, free of charge in Hung Yen and Hanoi.
- Advice on the model, configuration and drawings of the shaft, pit and overhead dimensions.
- Agree the quotation and contract.
- Manufacture, transport, installation and commissioning.
- Inspection, handover, user training and regular maintenance.

Frequently asked questions
Can a townhouse in Vinhomes Ocean Park have a home elevator?
Yes. A survey is needed to choose the shaft position and a model that suits the size of the house and the number of floors.
When is the best time to install an elevator?
Ideally at the design stage or when the house is at shell stage, so the shaft, pit and overhead can be fixed. Houses already lived in can still be fitted with adaptable models.
Where does ASAHI survey?
ASAHI surveys in Hung Yen and Hanoi, mainly in Vinhomes Ocean Park 1, 2, 3 and Vinhomes Global Gate.
